On a recent visit to Malvern on a solo retreat, I was delighted to receive a warm welcome from the landlady/owner Allison. The food was most definitely home cooked as advertised and delicious and I even felt comfortable to join the regulars to watch the England game on the Saturday evening as a lady on her own.I will most definitely back and may even try the lovely looking rooms that are available to rent during a stay.A good old English country pub nestled at the foot of the Malvern Hills - Angela - my sketch of the outside of the pub by myself.- Angela W

Stayed at the Railway Inn for one night. Rang direct and booked twin room for my friend and myself. Room was clean and warm. Opens at 12 so could book in early if required. The rooms are detached from the pub and were quiet. Slept really well and had tea/coffee facilities for early morning cuppa. We walked up to the Beacon and around the area. Stunning scenery. We ate dinner at the Railway which was very nice and reasonable too. Staff were friendly and we could then leave straight across car park to bed! Situated well for walking the ridge. Tasty food and have stayed a number of times before and will return.- Jackie G
